In 1984, James Francis embarked on a new career path in the insurance industry. Starting from a modest setup in his laundry room, he began selling Life Insurance, Health Insurance, Long Term Care Insurance, and Medicare Supplements. His dedication saw him ringing doorbells across Chicagoland and the farmlands of Illinois, often working long hours six to seven days a week.
As the business grew, James outgrew his laundry room office. In 1993, he established the RetireMax Insurance Agency and moved into a 70-square-foot rented office. This marked the formal inception of the agency, laying the foundation for future expansions.
In 1995, RetireMax relocated to an 800-square-foot storefront in Midlothian, IL. This move coincided with the addition of Home and Auto insurance services. James' son, Joe Francis, joined the agency and currently oversees the Home & Auto division as well as the Commercial lines division.
In 2017, RetireMax moved into its largest office yet, located in Orland Park, IL. This move reflects the agency's growth and commitment to providing comprehensive insurance services to its clients.
